Thai BL Series Releasing in April 2024: My Stand-In, We Are Series & More

Thai BL Series’ diverse catalog has continued to win over fans with intriguing plotlines and swoon-worthy chemistry between the lead actors. Thanks to the latest shows, Two Worlds, Close Friend 3, To Be Continued, and more, March was a spectacular month for Thai BL watchers. The upcoming month promises to be equally exciting for fans. Here’s a look at the Thai BL Series, releasing in April 2024.

Love Is Like A Cat

Love Is Like A Cat is a Thai-Korean BL series releasing on Monday, April 1, 2024. It will also be available to stream on Viki via subscription. The drama revolves around Piuno (Mew Suppasit Jongcheveevat), a popular actor who works in Thailand and Korea. Piuno does not like dogs as he has trauma with animals after an incident during his childhood.

Nonetheless, Piuno meets Dae Byeol (JM aka Chu Jimin), a dog cafe owner, after he gets signed up for a new entertainment show. This opposites-attract-themed BL Drama shows the chaotic yet heartwarming love story of Piuno and Dae Byeol. Aside from Mew and JM, the Love Is Like A Cat cast includes Geonu as Gi Min and Kim Kyoung Seok as Jun Hyuk.

We Are

Another Thai BL series releasing in April 2024 is We Are. It will premiere on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, on channel GMM 25. Alternatively, it will be available to stream for free on GMMTV’s official YouTube channel.

The upcoming BL Drama features a star-studded cast and follows eight university friends’ lives and love stories. From academics to friendship, their journey comes packed with the chaos of life and love. The four couples are – Phum (Pond Naravit Lertratkosum) and Pheem (Phuwin Tangsakyuen), Q (Winny Thanawin Pholcharoenrat) and Toey (Satang Kittiphop Sereevichayasawat), Thaen (Aou Thanaboon Kiatniran) and Khaofang (Boom Tharatorn Jantharaworakarn), and Shane (Marc Natarit Worakornlertsith) and Pun (Poon Mitpakdee).

My Stand-In

BL Drama My Stand-In is all set to release its pilot episode on Friday, April 26, 2024. The Thai series will be available to stream on iQIYI. It follows the story of Joe (Poom Phuripan Sapsangsawat), a stuntman for popular actor Tong (Mek Jirakit Thawornwong), as he crosses paths with Ming (Up Poompat Iam-samang). Things take a turn as Joe and Ming develop a relationship. However, Ming sees Joe as Tong’s replacement. To make matters worse, Joe finds out the truth and is forced to work on a different film set, where he dies in an accident.

Following the accident, Joe wakes up in the body of a young boy (also named Joe), who died on the same day. The events lead Joe to the same life he had lived before the accident and with the same people. And thus, he ends up meeting Ming again. To get Joe by his side again, Ming begins to uncover the truth behind Joe’s new life. Aside from Up, Poom, and Mek, the cast includes – Porsche Tanathorn Charoenratanaporn as Sol, Shu Nunnicha Saehuang as May, Billy Possathorn Wittanyaprechapol as Jim, and Inntouch Naphat Chalermphonphakdee as Mike.

Knock Knock, Boys!

Knock Knock, Boys! is another Thai BL series set to release in April 2024. However, it has yet to set a premiere date. The WeTV original follows the story of four roommates – Almond (Nokia Chinnawat Phattharathanachot), Latte (Jaonine Packapol Sodjam), Thanwa (Seng Wichai Saefant), and Peak (Best Vittawin Veeravidhayanant).

During a spin-the-bottle game, Almond reveals to his roommates that he’s a virgin. He then proposes that whoever helps him get together with his crush, he will pay a year’s rent for them. And thus, the boys get on a mission for free rent.
