Ronda Rousey’s on WWE’s Treatment of Female Wrestlers

Recently, Ronda Rousey opened up about her frustrations with WWE’s attitude toward female wrestlers. Following her departure after WWE SummerSlam, Rousey took a break from professional wrestling. However, she returned to the limelight to speak about the unfair treatment she observed during her pro wrestling career.

In an interview with Cageside Seats, Rousey highlighted the lack of planning and preparation she had to face in comparison to other wrestlers. She expressed, “The Bloodline is able to plan things out a year ahead of time, and they won’t even talk to me until I get to the arena. About anything.”

Rousey further said, “I proved in my first match that if you give me the time, the resources and preparation, I can put together an amazing match. And I feel like they’re really doing that with Logan Paul and allowing him to rehearse and put these things together and have all these different resources, producers to bring him to his highest potential. And it got to the point where he girls [weren’t] gonna get any of that.”

Rousey’s upcoming book, Our Fight, will offer more insights into her WWE journey. The book will feature candid reflections on her experiences, including criticisms of figures like Bruce Prichard and John Laurinaitis.

In the same interview, Rousey disclosed that Flair’s match with Ripley ran for a longer period of time. She stated, “They weren’t supposed to go that long. The whole time the referee is telling them to go backstage and Charlotte threw her big d— on the table and said no, we’re gonna do this awesome f—ing match. And that’s what [the women are] dealing with. They’re not allowed to show how f—ing amazing they are, because ‘Oh, the crowd’s gonna be tired for the guys match afterward.’ That’s bull s—!”

Several changes in the creative direction have occurred recently. This includes Vince McMahon’s departure and Triple H’s influence over pro wrestling. Nevertheless, wrestlers and fans have been increasingly supportive of talented individuals in this sport.
