The Midnight Studio episode 5 spoilers: Joo Won asks Kwon Na-Ra to stay away from him

In The Midnight Studio episode 5, Joo Won’s Seo Ki-Joo warns Han Bom (Kwon Na-Ra) that all ghosts are not friendly. But she believes that she is the ghost-repellent and, hence, will not face any issues.

Initially, Han Bom enjoys her ghost-sighting ability. She keeps calling Ki-Joo to ask if she can give food to a ghost toddler or talk to the dead. Towards the evening, she starts getting the chills from the sightings. At the time, Ki-Joo is busy with his job and cannot pick up her calls. When he comes home, she meets him and thanks him for taking care of her when she was sick. Furthermore, Han Bom compliments Ki-Joo for his hard work and mentions she will become his safe zone.

That night, Ki-Joo recalls one of his childhood incidents when he protected a young girl from ghosts. Back to the present, his heart flutters by Han Bom’s kind gesture. The next morning, he gives her a few things that she can use to keep ghosts away. But things get ugly when an evil ghost attacks her. Thankfully, Ki-Joo arrives on time and saves her.

Han Bom breaks down and confesses that she is scared and doesn’t want the power of seeing ghosts. Ki-Joo ensures her that he has found a solution and her trouble will be over soon. Episode 5 then reveals the solution, which includes Han Bom taking a picture with a ghost. After they complete the task, Ki-Joo tells Han Bom to stay away from him. He mentions that bad things have started happening to her since he moved to her building. He says that he will move out and will never bother her in the future.

The Midnight Studio episode 5 ending: Joo Won’s solution fails as Kwon Na-Ra can still see ghosts

Towards The Midnight Studio episode 5 ending, the difficult part of Seo Ki-Joo’s solution to Han Bom’s ghost problem is revealed. The person who forcefully sends a ghost to the world of the dead will face consequences, such as dangerous ghost attacks. As Joo Won’s character, Ki-Joo, sent a ghost to the other side, he is in danger.

Episode 5 ending shows an evil ghost causing an accident when a moving truck is aimed to hit Han Bom. While she is safe, a major collision occurs in the middle of the road. Kwon Na-Ra’s character, Han Bom, is shocked when she sees ghosts of dead drivers and passengers approaching her. This means Ki-Joo’s solution didn’t work.

As the ghosts are approaching her, Ki-Joo appears from behind and closes her eyes. He says, “Don’t open your eyes,” and a safe zone circle is formed around the two. The final scene includes a flashback when school student Ki-Joo forms a circle with salt around a young girl and protects her from ghost attacks. It adds curiosity, hinting at a past connection.

The Midnight Studio airs on Mondays and Tuesdays on ENA and Viki.
