The Impossible Heir episode 6: Lee Jae-Wook struggles with his game plan

The latest episode of The Impossible Heir began with In-Ha resolving his differences with his father and Chairman Kang Joong-Mo. He also expressed his desire to marry Na Hye-Won. The chairman then gave his consent. Meanwhile, Han Tae-Oh fainted from the attack when Hye-Won called him. She reached the hospital and saw a semi-conscious Tae-Oh, who asked her not to leave him. Hye-Won then informed In-Ha of the attack.

Before arriving at the hospital, In-Ha asked his allies to stop any investigation into Tae-Oh’s attack to save the chairman and the conglomerate’s name. He reached the hospital, assuring Hye-Won that Tae-Oh would survive. After he regained consciousness, the chairman ordered Tae-Oh to be moved into their VIP ward. Meanwhile, Kang Hee-Joo rushed to the hospital after hearing the news.

As the brothers, Kang Seung-Ju and Kang In-Ju, suspected each other of attacking Tae-Oh, the latter regained consciousness. He saw Hye-Won beside him and held her hand again, asking her not to leave. Hee-Joo arrived just in time after seeing the two hold hands. After Hye-Won left, she warned In-Ha of Hye-Won’s real intentions. However, he only asked Hee-Joo to respect Hye-Won. He also saw the two together.

The campaign chief visited Hye-Won in the office and revealed that In-Ha had ordered the attack on Tae-Oh. This left her flustered. Meanwhile, Tae-Oh got furious with In-Ha for stopping the investigation behind his attack. In-Ha said he only did it to save Kang Oh group’s name. He further revealed that the chairman had consented to him to marry Hye-Won.

Tae-Oh confronted the chairman and decided to continue his investigation. Joong-Mo then decided to find the truth behind the attack before Tae-Oh. The latter fell unconscious at spy Kim Gwan-Gil’s place. He asked the latter to find out who the attacker was. Meanwhile, Hye-Won grew furious with In-Ha for prioritizing the group over their friend.

The following day, Hye-Won’s mother found her and asked her for more money. Hye-Won broke down and threatened to kill herself. Someone had hired her mother to cut ties with Hye-Won. A bruised Hye-Won then broke down in front of In-Ha while the latter apologized. Meanwhile, the spy found out that Tae-Oh attacked Kang In-Ju’s assistant.

Later that night, In-Ha finally introduced Hye-Won to the family. However, her bluntness only got them on Joong-Mo’s bad side. While the chairman wanted her to stop working for Jo Sun-Dong, she asked for a place in the Kang-Oh group. Her behavior led to an argument with In-Ha as well. Meanwhile, Tae-Oh met with In-Ju’s assistant, promising a payback. On his way back, he saw In-Ju as the assistant smiled back at him.

Tae-Oh then met with Hye-Won and finally confessed his feelings. She also reciprocated back, following which the duo shared a kiss. However, In-Ju’s assistant took photos of them and showed them to In-Ju. The latter decided to use it to his advantage. Later, Hye-Won married In-Ha. As she headed upstairs and called Tae-Oh to join her, she met with In-Ju. He showed her the photos and asked her to get inside the elevator.

By the end of the episode, a bloodied and bruised Tae-Oh saw himself holding a sharp weapon. He turned around to see a dead Kang In-Ju along with another mysterious dead woman. However, Tae-Oh had no recollection of what transpired.
