Doctor Slump episode 4: Park Hyung-Sik, Park Shin-Hye get mistaken as a couple

Doctor Slump episode 4 picked up from where the previous episode left off. After Yeo Jeong-Woo and Nam Ha-Neul watched the sunrise together, the latter reflected on finally finding a friend from the past. In school, Ha-Neul only focused on studies and couldn’t make a single friend. When the two headed for breakfast, Ha-Neul revealed that she hadn’t slept for a couple of nights since she was busy looking for a case similar to Jeong-Woo’s.

Interestingly, he expressed his gratitude after she handed over the case that would be of Jeong-Woo’s help in the second trial. When he looked for a phone charger for Ha-Neul, he realized she was making up for all the lost sleep. He asked the restaurant owner to let her sleep for a few hours. Although the owner mistook them as a couple, she allowed Ha-Neul to rest. The former rivals ended up sleeping for a couple of hours.

Meanwhile, Ha-Neul’s mother grew concerned over her daughter’s disappearance. They initially thought Ha-Neul went to see the sunrise with her best friend, Hong-Ran. However, the latter visited them with no knowledge of the same. As their concerns grew, they saw Ha-Neul and Jeong-Woo together. Hong-Ran mistook Jeong-Woo to be Ha-Neul’s first love. Although Jeong-Woo was surprised, he was also happy.

However, Ha-Neul clarified to her family and Hong-Ran that they were just friends. Yet, her mother asked Hong-Ran to fix a date for her daughter. As Jeong-Woo dealt with the recent developments, Ha-Neul invited him to go shopping. Jeong-Woo thought she wanted to spend more time with her first love. He dressed up and went shopping with her. However, by the end of their outing, Ha-Neul revealed that she was going on a blind date.

A confused but mildly upset Jeong-Woo returned home. The following day, he saw Ha-Neul dressed up in the previously shopped outfit for her date. However, there was a catch. Previously, Hong-Ran asked one of her nurses to find a suitable man for a date. The nurse mistook it to be for Hong-Ran and asked Dr. Bin Dae-Young. He agreed immediately after realizing that Hong-Ran was the same woman who subscribed to his channel.

During Ha-Neul and Dae-Young’s date, the two remain confused as he kept addressing her as Hong-Ran. In the end, Ha-Neul discovered that it was all a miscommunication and that he also had a daughter. Meanwhile, Ha-Neul’s aunts visited her house and met with her mother. They had previously visited Ha-Neul’s hospital only to find out that her fellows had shunned her.

The aunts mocked Ha-Neul in front of her mother and uncle. To make the situation worse, Ha-Neul’s mother lied that her daughter was considering marriage and had been on a date with a plastic surgeon. However, Ha-Neul returned home with a plastic surgeon. But it was Jeong-Woo and not Dae-Young. The aunts mistook them to be dating. When Ha-Neul clarified the issue, the aunts continued to make fun of her.

Although Jeong-Woo handled the situation by indirectly making fun of Ha-Neul’s aunts, they left the place after insulting her. Following this, Ha-Neul asked Jeong-Woo to join her for drinks at night. In a drunken state, the two reflected on their broken careers. Jeong-Woo advised Ha-Neul to put her resume on the common website for doctor jobs.

The two shared an umbrella since it was raining when Ha-Neul fell asleep on Jeong-Woo’s shoulders. However, he decided not to think too much about it. Meanwhile, the scene shifted to a hidden camera under Jeong-Woo’s table in his room.

Doctor Slump episode 4: A hidden villain wreaks havoc in Park Hyung-Sik, Park Shin-Hye’s lives

The following day, Ha-Neul received a call from a hospital in Hwabon. She took Jeong-Woo’s advice seriously and put up her resume online. The hospital called Ha-Neul for an interview for the position of chief anesthesiologist. Although Ha-Neul asked Jeong-Woo for advice, the latter clarified that she should go for it as she had already made up her mind. Ha-Neul revealed that she had been growing impatient about wanting to relate to fellow doctors.

She left for Hwabon after informing her family. Meanwhile, Jeong-Woo had brunch with his senior Kyung-Min. While the two talked about Ha-Neul’s recent appearance with the evidence at court, Kyung-Min somehow knew about her interview in Hwabon. Apparently, he met the director of the clinic and told them all about Ha-Neul’s past experience.

A concerned Jeong-Woo blamed his senior for not telling the whole story about Ha-Neul’s senior bullying her. He then left to see her. Meanwhile, as Ha-Neul traveled far to reach the clinic in Hwabon, they called her up to inform her that the interview won’t take place. Unfortunately, the chief doctor had read up on Ha-Neul’s history and decided she wouldn’t be a right fit.

Ha-Neul returned to Hwabon train station. She grew emotional and called up Jeong-Woo to mention that she probably lived her life wrong. As another train approached the station, she was still on her call when Jeong-Woo caught her hand. A surprised and confused Ha-Neul asked him why he was there. To this, Jeong-Woo revealed that he had come to tell her that it wasn’t her fault and that she wasn’t living her life wrong.

The episode ended with the two exchanging emotional glances and Kyung-Min holding the hidden camera pen. It was evident that he was the villain in their story.
