Death by Fame on ID: What Happened to Reality TV Star Loredana Nesci?

Loredana Nesci, a popular reality TV star who led the Sundance Channel TV show Loredana Esq., was found murdered in her Redondo Beach Home on July 22, 2015. Nesci shared the house with her then-51-year-old partner Robert Reagan who was almost immediately arrested as the police suspected murder and began investigating the death as a homicide.

Robert Reagan contacted the police at 7:20 am on July 22, 2015. He reported an altercation between him and his live-in girlfriend. The Redondo Beach Police Department arrived at the residence that morning to find Nesci dead. Reagan was taken into custody and was presented in court soon after.

During the trial, Reagan’s attorney argued that Loredana Nesci first attacked Reagan with a hunting knife. Following that, he allegedly attempted to disarm her, causing fatal wounds that led to her death, ABC News reported. Neighbors reported that Nesci and Reagan fought frequently and prosecutors claim that he stabbed her during one of their heated arguments at their Redondo Beach home. She was pronounced dead at 8:44 am after she was found dead at the crime scene on July 22, 2015.

According to the autopsy, Loredana Nesci was stabbed at least four times between her breasts and her belly button, in her abdomen, the Los Angeles Times reported. Reagan reportedly waited for five hours before informing authorities about the situation. He further managed to contact an attorney before the police. Nesci’s friends reportedly told CBS News that Nesci had met someone new very recently after being with Reagan for years. Loredana’s brother reportedly included in his statement for the sentencing that Reagan and Nesci had a long troubling relationship that she was looking forward to leaving.

Who was convicted of Loredana Nesci’s murder?

Robert Reagan, now 53, was sentenced to 16 years in prison. He was convicted for the murder of his girlfriend Loredana Nesci, the Los Angeles Times reported. He was found guilty of second-degree murder. This was after the police charged him with one count of murder and a knife use allegation on July 24, 2015. Nesci and Reagan had a five-year-old son named Rocco who wasn’t present at the scene when the police arrived.

Before attending Quinnipiac University to study law, Loredana Nesci was a member of the Los Angeles Police Department. She was with the LAPD from 1996 and was involved in a shoot-out at a bank in North Hollywood in 1997, Fox News reported. After her years at the University, she reportedly returned to California in 2004 to practice law. She was then approached to film her reality TV series in 2013.

The 2014 series followed her life as a criminal defense attorney. It explored her views of the United States justice system. The series consisted of 6 episodes. Famously known as the “Legal Diva,” Loredana Nesci was 47 years old at the time of her death. Nesci’s son Rocco, was featured in several episodes on Loredana Esq. alongside his father Robert Reagan. She was also a passionate bodybuilder and hosted a radio show on KCAA-AM before her TV series began.
