James Gunn Reveals His Favorite Quentin Tarantino Movies

James Gunn is no stranger to the history of movies, and recently took to social media to reveal his list of favorite Quentin Tarantino films.

In a brief exchange on the Instagram-based social media site Threads, Gunn replied to a still image from fellow filmmaker Brian Koppelman of Tarantino’s 1997 film Jackie Brown. Gunn revealed that, to him, the film is both Tarantino’s most underrated and best film.

After some more back and forth, Gunn outlined his favorite films.

“[Jackie Brown] is top, then [Pulp Fiction], Kill Bill, and [Once Upon a Time in Hollywood]. The rest are after that,” said Gunn. In other replies, Gunn also revealed that he and Tarantino have had “many” conversations with Tarantino.

Up next for Gunn is the planned 2025 film Superman: Legacy, which is set to be the official theatrical kick off of the new DC Universe, which Gunn and Peter Safran are heading up as the new co-CEOs of DC Studios.
