Muhammad Ali Fight Heist Series Starring Kevin Hart Ordered at Peacock

Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist, led by Kevin Hart and focusing on an iconic Muhammad Ali boxing match, has been ordered at Peacock.

What’s Kevin Hart’s new show about?

The upcoming series is set in Atlanta, following the heavyweight and criminal underground heist that introduced the world to the city that’s dubbed the Black Mecca. It’s also focused on the cop and the hustler at the center of the story. Fight Night promises to unfurl the infamous saga of an armed robbery during Ali’s historic 1970 comeback fight and how it changed a city’s destiny.

Fight Night is created and written by Shaye Ogbonna (Penguin, The Chi, God’s Country). Ogbonna and Jason Horwitch (Echo 3, The Calling) will both serve as showrunners and executive producers.

Executive producing are Bryan Smiley and Mike Stein for Hartbeat, Sabrina Wind for Will Packer Media; Conal Byrne, Will Pearson, and Carrie Lieberman for iHeartPodcasts; and Jeff Keating and Lars Jacobson. Craig Brewer (Empire, Dolemite Is My Name) will executive produce the series and direct episodes 101 and 102. Tiffany Brown and Kenny Burns will co-executive produce.

Hart and Packer have recently collaborated with Peacock and NBCUniversal on other projects. Hart is the host of Peacock’s Hart to Heart. He also hosts Olympic Highlights and 2022 Back That Year Up for the streaming service. Hart also debuted his stand-up special Kevin Hart: Reality Check on Peacock, in addition to hosting and producing Celebrity Prank Wars and Celebrity Game Face for NBCUniversal. Meanwhile, Will Packer’s film Praise This, starring Chlöe Bailey, is currently available to stream on Peacock.
