However, in recent years, Amazon Prime Video has become the gold standard for projects like these.

Amazon Prime Video has released documentaries varying from a number of genres like true crime, history, science, nature, space, life, etc.

The Hornet’s Nest

The 2014 documentary film titled The Hornet’s Nest showcased the exploits of a father-son journalist duo. Mike Boettcher and Carlos Boettcher joined some American soldiers in one of Afghanistan’s most dangerous areas. Furthermore, they came face-to-face with the enemy.

The synopsis of The Hornet’s Nest, according to the Rotten Tomatoes Indie YouTube Channel, reads, “The Hornet’s Nest is a groundbreaking and immersive feature film, using unprecedented real footage to tell the story of an elite group of U.S. troops sent on a dangerous mission deep inside one of Afghanistan’s most hostile valleys. The directors of The Hornet’s Nest were David Salzberg and Christian Tureaud.

Chasing Happiness 

Released in 2019, Chasing Happiness narrates the story of the Jonas Brothers as they prepare to release their fifth studio album after a lengthy break. This American pop-rock band, which was founded in 2005, consists of three brothers: Kevin Jonas, Joe Jonas, and Nick Jonas.

The synopsis of Chasing Happiness according to Prime Video‘s official YouTube channel, reads, “Chasing Happiness is a story of brotherhood. From humble roots as pastor’s sons in New Jersey through their meteoric rise to fame, the Jonas Brothers’ bond was unshakeable. Wrinkles The Clown

The comedy-horror documentary Wrinkles The Clown showcases a Florida resident who dresses up as a clown and scares naughty kids at birthday parties in exchange for money. Furthermore, he even pranks people.

The synopsis of this 1-hour, 18-minute documentary, according to IMDb reads, “In Florida, parents can hire Wrinkles the Clown to scare their misbehaving children.”

Wrinkles The Clown was written by Michael Beach Nichols and Christopher K. Walker.
