Sting Declined AEW All In 2024 Match at Wembley

WWE Hall of Famer Sting has declined a major match opportunity at the AEW All In 2024 in the iconic Wembley Stadium. The Icon has had a legendary career that has spanned over four decades. In 2020, he signed with AEW and has had several high-profile matches since. Sting has helped create numerous memorable moments in AEW with his tag team partner, Darby Allin.

In August, AEW held their biggest show of all time, All In, at Wembley Stadium, with more than 80,000 fans in attendance. The show featured several high-profile matches, including Sting in a tag team action with partner Darby Allin against Christian Cage and Swerve Strickland, where they emerged victorious.

With Sting, who is looking to wind up his legendary four-decade career, it looks like AEW President Tony Khan has a special match planned for him at next year’s AEW All In in August 2024 at Wembley Stadium.

The revelation comes in an interview with the New York Post, Tony Khan disclosed that he had proposed another match for Sting at next year’s All In in Wembley. Khan expressed his desire to ensure his well-being. However, the WWE Hall of Famer prioritized his health over his wrestling career, deciding that the best way for him to have a happy retirement was before AEW’s All In next year.

Sting’s undefeated record in AEW has piqued fans’ curiosity about how many more matches the icon has left in him.

AEW star Sting set to retire next year

AEW star Sting, who is regarded as one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time, has decided when to hang up his boots.

During the 18th edition of Dynamite, Sting announced his retirement plans, revealing that his final match with the Jacksonville-based promotion will be at Revolution 2024 on March 3rd, 2024, at the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina—the same PPV where he had his first match in 2021.

The Icon will also have his WCW rival Ric Flair joining him on his retirement journey, who signed a multi-year deal with AEW a few months ago.
