Emerald Fennell Jurassic Park erotic

Saltburn’s Emerald Fennell Pitches an Erotic Jurassic Park Movie With Dinosaur/Human Romance

Saltburn’s Emerald Fennell has an idea for an erotic Jurassic Park movie.

Speaking with Deadline, Fennell discussed her dream project and said she’d love to make an erotic version of Steven Spielberg’s Jurassic Park.

“I honestly feel that I’ve been so lucky. I’ve been able to make my dream projects already,” Fennell said. “But my favorite film of all time is Jurassic Park, so I would love to get in on the dinosaurs. Well, first and foremost, it’s very erotic. I think humans and dinosaurs have gotten to that stage in their time together where things are starting to get quite thrilling. So, there’s a marriage between a man and a velociraptor and it’s basically a domestic drama.”

Are more Jurassic Park movies in the works?

Released in 1993, Jurassic Park was directed by Spielberg and starred Sam Neill, Laura Dean, and Jeff Goldblum. The film spawned a franchise that includes five theatrically released sequels, including 1997’s The Lost World: Jurassic Park, 2001’s Jurassic Park III, 2015’s Jurassic World, 2018’s Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, and 2022’s Jurassic World Dominion.

At this time, no formal plans for another Jurassic Park movie have been announced; however, Jurassic World producer Frank Marshall told /Film in January 2022 that there could be more installments coming.

“I think that Dominion’s going to wrap up this trilogy, but we’re not resting on our laurels,” Marshall said. “We’re going to sit down, and we’re going to see what the future is. We have that wonderful series, Camp Cretaceous, on Netflix. We obviously want to make quality, good movies with great storytelling, great writers and directors, but we’re definitely looking to do more in the Jurassic world.”

Fennell, meanwhile, wrote and directed Promising Young Woman in 2020. Her latest movie, Saltburn, stars Barry Keoghan, Jacob Elordi, Rosamund Pike, Richard E. Grant, Alison Oliver, Archie Madekwe, and Mulligan.

Saltburn is now playing in United States theaters.
