Percy Jackson and the Olympians New Images Take Fans to Camp Half-Blood

Following the release of the trailer for James Bobin’s Percy Jackson and the Olympians, new stills from the upcoming fantasy television series give a closer look at the series adaptation of Rick Riordan’s bestselling novel series. 

In the images (via ComicBook.com), Walker Scobell’s Percy Jackson is seen meeting Charlie Bushnell’s Luke Castellan for the first time, teasing the budding friendship between the two characters. Others show the daughter of Ares Clarisse La Rue (Dior Goodjohn) training and Annabeth (Leah Sava Jeffries) — daughter of Athena — having a conversation with Percy.

The other characters featured in the uploaded photographs are Grover (Aryan Simhadri), Mr. Brunner (Glynn Turman), and Jessica Parker Kennedy’s Medusa, showing the early days of Percy Jackson’s training at Camp Half-Blood. You can check out the images down below: 

What is Percy Jackson and the Olympians about?

The upcoming fantasy series, from a screenplay co-written by Rick Riordan and Jon Steinberg, will see the 12-year-old titular character navigate his newfound supernatural powers. 

Apart from the mentioned cast members, the rest of the stars include the late Lance Reddick as Zeus, Virginia Kull as Sally Jackson, Megan Mullally as Mr. Dodds, Olivea Morton as Nancy Bobofit, Timm Sharp as Gabe Ugliano, Jason Mantzoukas as Dionysus, Adam Copeland as Ares, Jay Duplass as Hades, Lin-Manuel Miranda as Hermes, Timothy Omundson as Hephaestus, and Toby Stephens as Poseidon.

The synopsis for Percy Jackson and the Olympians reads as follows: “The live-action series tells the fantastical story of the titular 12-year-old modern demigod, Percy Jackson, who’s just coming to terms with his newfound supernatural powers when the sky god Zeus accuses him of stealing his master lightning bolt. Now Percy must trek across America to find it and restore order to Olympus.”

Percy Jackson and the Olympians will premiere on Disney+ on December 20, 2023.
