Choose Love Trailer: Laura Marano Leads Netflix’s Next Interactive Movie

Netflix has released the official Choose Love trailer for its first romantic comedy interactive movie, starring former Disney Channel star Laura Marano. The film will be available for streaming on August 31.

The video features Marano as a young woman involved in a complicated love square between three different men. This includes her “the one that got away,” a charming rock star, and her steady boyfriend. The film’s interactive feature will give viewers the power to help Marano’s Cami Conway navigate her love life.

What is Choose Love about?

“In the film, Cami Conway has it all. She’s got the job she wants (recording engineer) and is headed towards engagement, marriage and kids with her wonderful boyfriend, Paul,” reads the synopsis. “And yet. She feels something is missing. Is it just FOMO and the fear of commitment that goes with it? Or is she actually missing out on an even better career, perhaps the long abandoned singing career she once dreamed of? And is Paul the love of her life? What if it’s Rex Galier, the sexy British rock star, who walks into her studio and becomes irrepressibly smitten? Or could it be Jack Menna, her first love, “the one that got away”, the idealistic world traveler, who returns home and is ready to rekindle their youthful passion?

Cami faces a kaleidoscope of tempting but tough choices: from serious ethical dilemmas to the frivolous “Truth or Dare.” What she chooses depends wholly on you, the viewer. But be careful! Things don’t always play out like you think!”

Choose Love is directed by Stuart McDonald from a screenplay written by Josann McGibbon. Joining Marano are Avan Jogia as Rex, Jordi Webber as Jack, Scott Michael Foster as Paul, and Megan Smart as Amalia. The film is produced by McGibbon, Robyn Snyder and Deborah Evans, Mel Turner, and Axel Paton.

This marks the Austin & Ally alum’s latest collaboration with Netflix after previously working on two other romantic comedies: The Perfect Date with Noah Centineo and The Royal Treatment with Mena Massoud.
