David Fincher’s The Killer Gets Positive Reaction From Venice Film Festival Chief

David Fincher’s new movie The Killer has gotten a positive response from the Venice Film Festival Chief Alberto Barbera.

Fincher’s first movie since Mank in 2020 is The Killer, a psychological action thriller starring Michael Fassbender as Christian. This movie is set to premiere at the Venice Film Festival in September with a Netflix release on November 10, 2023.

Barbera commented his thoughts on the movie, telling Deadline, “It’s based on a French graphic novel, and the film is very violent. It’s breathtaking from beginning to the end. Michael Fassbender is fantastic.” Furthermore, he said, “I’d be surprised if these movies weren’t in the Oscar race,” referring to The Killer, Michael Mann’s Ferrari, and Bradley Cooper’s Maestro.
