Michael Madsen & 505 Games Tease Game Awards Announcement

Michael Madsen & 505 Games Tease Game Awards Announcement

The Game Awards are just one week away and some publishers have been hinting at what they’ll be showing at the event. 505 Games is one such publisher and the company has recruited Reservoir Dogs actor Michael Madsen in its Game Awards tease.

505 Games posted a video about this mystery game on its Twitter account. Madsen can be seen walking into a building asking for host and producer Geoff Keighley before dropping off a wallet that has a card with a QR code on it. The code leads to a website with the URL visitrockaycity.com that has a seven-day countdown on it, pointing right to The Game Awards. The city has many tall buildings and neon signs and seems like a mix between Miami and Las Vegas.

Epic Games is mentioned in the tweet and video and its logo can be found in the above website, so the Fortnite developer is undoubtedly involved in this unknown title. 505 Games and Epic Games have worked together in the past, as 505 published Death Stranding on PC and was an Epic Games Store exclusive for a year. Control, another 505-published title, was also an Epic Games Store exclusive for the same amount of time and was given away for free on the storefront in June 2021.

Madsen has appeared in a few video games in the past. He played Toni Cipriani in Grand Theft Auto III, Daud in the Dishonored series, Michael O’Leary in Call of Duty: Black Ops II, and even reprised his role as Mr. Blonde in 2006’s Reservoir Dogs game.

This is also just one of the official pre-show teases, as Bandai Namco is gearing up to show more Tekken 8 at The Game Awards and Toys for Bob hinted that Crash Bandicoot will be at the event in some way.
