In a recent report from Deadline outlining what to expect from the upcoming convention, it was mentioned that there has been building buzz over the last couple of weeks that Cavill will appear at the convention to discuss his future as Superman.

This would come during Warner Bros. and DC’s highly anticipated Hall H panel, which will likely feature new information on the upcoming films Black Adam and Shazam: Fury of the Gods. For Cavill, his future as the character Clark Kent/Superman has been shrouded in mystery ever since 2017’s Justice League released.

While Cavill did participate in 2021’s Zack Snyder cut of the film, many reports and rumors suggested that due to DC pivoting away from the “Snyderverse” and DC Extended Universe as a whole, Cavill would not be returning to play the iconic superhero.

However, Cavill has never outright said that and has instead played it coy whenever he referred to the role. The specifics of Cavill’s appearance may have to wait a week or so, though many are anticipating Cavill to appear in Black Adam, as star Dwayne Johnson has teased big cameos in the upcoming film.
