Globally, the Sam Raimi-directed comic book thriller accrued $265M for an astonishing $450M global tally in Week 1. With no upcoming enormous release skewed toward younger audiences on the horizon, it’ll be interesting to see how far Strange flies by the time Jurassic World stomps into theaters on June 10.

On Imax, Strange managed $18 million, which comes to $44K per theater and the biggest for the platform in the U.S./Canada in May, and sixth-best overall.
