A Quiet Place Video Game Announced, Coming Next Year

A Quiet Place Part II was one of the year’s biggest horror movies and now the series is branching out into video games. Saber Interactive, iLLOGIKA Studios, EP1T0ME Studios, and Paramount Pictures have announced the simply titled A Quiet Place video game. No platforms were listed but it is coming in 2022.

The game currently just has a website that’s just a few sparse lines about the game. But, like the films, it will be a horror game and feature an “untold story of survival” within the universe. It’s unclear how involved the film’s creative is at this point.

iLLOGIKA Studios is a fairly unknown team. It hasn’t been in charge of much original work and has mainly provided support for games like Cuphead and Session while doing port work for titles like Lara Croft Go and Spiritfarer. Creative Director Hervé Sliwa at iLLOGIKA gave a statement about the project.

“The A Quiet Place video game will let fans experience the tension of the films with a level of immersion they’ve never felt before,” said Sliwa. “We’re excited to work with EP1T0ME and to team up with Saber Interactive to share this unique vision of hope and horror with players everywhere in the future.”

EP1T0ME Studios is more mysterious as it hasn’t put out a game just yet. Its website says the company focuses on “delivering story-driven game experiences across multiple platforms, including PC, console, mobile, and VR” and that it works with “exceptional independent game developers and experienced creative talent on both original and established IP.”

Saber is mostly known as a video game developer and port studio and not a publisher. It has ported games like The Witcher III: Wild Hunt to the Nintendo Switch (and is also in charged of the recently delayed PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S upgrades), helped in the creation of titles like Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, and developed original games like World War Z. World War Z: Aftermath was the first game that it published. Saber is also developing the upcoming Evil Dead video game.
