Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom Adds Randall Park, Jani Zhao & More

Coming off from his well-received return as Agent Jimmy Woo in the acclaimed Marvel Cinematic Universe series WandaVision, it looks like Randall Park is ready to jump into another superhero universe in the form of James Wan’s Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. The Hollywood Reporter brings word that Park has signed on to reprise his role as Dr. Stephen Shin in Warner Bros. Pictures’ upcoming DC sequel. Dr. Shin first appeared in the 2018 film, where fans had last seen him rescuing Black Manta during the film’s mid-credits scene.

In addition, the studio has also enlisted three new cast members to the franchise which includes Indya Moore (Pose, Escape Room: Tournament of Champions), Vincent Regan (300, Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance), and Chinese-Portuguese actress Jani Zhao (Jogo Duplo, The Sugar Captains) in her first major Hollywood film and English-language feature debut.

Moore is set to portray the role of classic DC character Karshon, who first appeared as a Green Lantern villain in 1963. In the comics, the character was originally a normal shark, who after getting hit with radiation, had gained abilities including intelligence and telepathic powers. As for Zhao, she is expected to portray the role of Stingray, an original character created just for the upcoming sequel.

Meanwhile, Regan will be playing Atlan, the ancient ruler of Atlantis who was first introduced in the first film during its flashback scenes and was first portrayed by Outlander’s Graham McTavish.
