The 10-episode Dexter revival will be set 10 years after Dexter Morgan went missing in the eye of Hurricane Laura. It continues to follow the character, who is now living under an assumed name in a world away from Miami. Joining Michael C. Hall are a whole new cast including Clancy Brown, Julia Jones, Michael Cyril Creighton, Alano Miller, Johnny Sequoyah, Jack Alcott, Jamie Chung and Oscar Wahlberg.

The upcoming limited series will also see Clyde Phillips return as showrunner with Marcos Siega, who helmed nine episodes of the original show’s run, returning to direct six of the new episodes. Executive producers are Phillips, Hall, Siega, John Goldwyn, Sara Colleton, Bill Carraro, and Scott Reynolds.

The original series ran on-air for eight seasons from 2006-2013. Michael C. Hall starred as Dexter Morgan, a serial killer who specifically targeted other serial killers while also working as a blood splatter analyst for the Miami Police Department. During its original run, it earned multiple Golden Globe and Emmy nominations as well as a Peabody Award, with Hall taking home a Golden Globe in 2010 for his leading performance.
