Hollywood Reporter is saying that Marvel has tapped Let Him Go director Thomas Bezucha and Ali Selim (The Looming Tower) to direct episodes of the upcoming show. They will join executive producer Kyle Bradstreet (Mr. Robot) on the project, which is said to be shooting in Europe later this year. It’s unknown how many episodes each man will direct, but it’s said to likely be a three-three split or four-two.

The upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe series, which was first announced in September and confirmed to be an adaptation of the comic storyline in December, will see Jackson reprising his role of former S.H.I.E.L.D. Director Nick Fury alongside Mendelsohn as Talos, a pseudo-leader of the Skrulls. Jackson as Fury has been a mainstay of the MCU and a source of connective tissue between many of the films. Mendelsohn is reprising his role from Captain Marvel as well as Spider-Man: Far From Home‘s post-credits scene, in which he was revealed to be impersonating Fury throughout the film.

The comic story was penned by Brian Michael Bendis and saw a long-term invasion of Earth by the Skrulls. It was first published in June 2008 and revealed that the species had secretly replaced many Marvel superheroes.

Secret Invasion is also set to include Kingsley Ben-Adir (One Night in Miami), who will play the series’ main villain, Olivia Colman (The Crown), and former Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke. Not much about the plot is officially known, as Marvel has been keeping things under tight security for what could be one of its biggest projects ever.
