Marvel's Doctor Aphra Expanding Into Star Wars Audiobook

Marvel’s Doctor Aphra Expanding Into Star Wars Audiobook

After making her way into readers’ hearts for five years, Marvel’s Star Wars character Doctor Chelli Lona Aphra is breaking off into her own audiobook story, which is set to be released sometime this summer, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Doctor Aphra: An Audiobook Original will adapt and expand the first comic book storyline featuring the character, in which she partners with Darth Vader for a deal that won’t work out the way she intends, and will also feature her far-from-faithful droids Triple Zero and Bee-Tee, well-known for being psychopathic versions of the Skywalker lineage’s C-3PO and R2-D2.

The audiobook will be written by YA novelist Sarah Kuhn, adapting the comics work of Kieron Gillen and Salvador Larroca, and will feature a full voice cast that has yet to be announced. Though this will mark her first new expansion into a new medium, she did win a fan vote in 2017 to be made into an action figure.
