Blumhouse Considering Making a Halloween Horror Nights Movie

During an interview with Collider, Jason Blum revealed that Blumhouse is interested in possibly making a horror movie inspired by Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights.

When asked about whether the idea of developing a Halloween Horror Nights film was a real possibility, Blum said: “Yes! Definitely! We’ve actually talked about it. We haven’t quite figured it out, but there’s definitely a movie in Halloween Horror Nights somewhere.”

As the outlet notes, Blumhouse has been very involved with Halloween Horror Nights over the years, and Blum was also “very enthusiastic” about the possibility of Blumhouse’s latest release, The Hunt, joining the horror festivities for this year’s Halloween Horror Nights 2020.

Now in its 30th year, Halloween Horror Nights brings together stories and visions from the world’s most notorious creators of horror. This year’s event will take place between September 10 and November 1.

Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights is the ultimate Halloween event. For more than 25 years, guests from around the world have visited Halloween Horror Nights to become victims inside their own horror film. Multiple movie-quality mazes based on iconic horror television shows, films, and original stories come to life season after season. And, the streets of each park’s event are transformed into highly-themed scare zones where menacing scare-actors lunge from every darkened corner.
