Mark Millar and Curtis Tiegsā planned childrenās book Kindergarten Heroes is, according to Deadline, on its way to the big screen through 20th Century Fox. Carter Blanchard (Glimmer) has signed on to provide the screenplay.
First announced in 2012, Kindergarten Heroes is the Kick-Ass creatorās foray into family-friendly fare. At this time, however, the book has not yet announced a firm publication date.
āKindergarten Heroes is my first childrenās book,ā Millar posted on his Twitter feed, āand is co-owned 50/50 by the brilliant Curtis Tiegs, whom I met on the Millarworld boards.
Simon Kinberg, whose screenwriting credits include the upcoming X-Men: Days of Future Past, is attached to produce with Steve Asbell executive producing. Thereās no word yet on whether the film will go the live-action or animation route, but studioās hope is to use Kindergarten Heroes to launch a franchise.
