Neill Blomkamp’s Chappie Set for March 27, 2015 Release

Officially announced last week, Chappie, the next film from writer-director Neill Blomkamp (Elysium, District 9), is now set for release on March 27, 2015.

Set up at Sony Pictures, Chappie will feature a script by Blomkamp and Terri Tatchell. Blomkamp will also direct and will produce the film with Simon Kinberg.

The film will star Sharlto Copley as the voice of Chappie, with Ninja and Yolandi Visser, voices of the South African Zef counter-culture movement and members of rap-rave duo Die Antwoord, as the two gangsters.
