J.J. Abrams Sets Up Pilots at NBC and Fox

In the wake of yesterday’s news that has him stepping into the director’s chair for Star Wars: Episode VII, Deadline has revealed that J.J. Abrams is involved in two new pilot sales, one for NBC and one for Fox.

The NBC project, first reported on last September teams the Star Trek director with Children of Men‘s Alfonso Cuarón. It is said to follow a girl in possession of special powers – which will come into their own in seven years – and the man who is sprung from prison to protect her from those trying to hunt her down.

The Fox pilot, meanwhile, is co-created by J.H. Wyman and follows a cop in the not-too-distant future where all human officers are paired with android partners.

Check back for updates on both shows as they become available.
