Stranger Things Season 2 Cast Adds Brett Gelman

After abruptly severing ties this week with Adult Swim, where he made several specials, Variety is reporting that comic actor Brett Gelman (Blunt TalkThe Other Guys) is joining the Stranger Things Season 2 cast! Gelman is set to play Murray Bauman, “a disgraced journalist-turned-conspiracy theorist who is investigating a cold case in the small Indiana town.”

He will join returning stars Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Millie Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Natalia Dyer, Cara Buono, Charlie Heaton, and Matthew Modine. As previously announced, the Stranger Things Season 2 cast will also include new additions Sadie Sink (Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt), Dacre Montgomery (the Red Ranger in the upcoming Power Rangers movie), newcomer Linnea Berthelsen and ’80s icons Sean Astin (The Goonies) and Paul Reiser (Aliens).
