NBC Sweetens February

ON

NBC has announced its schedule for the February sweeps period. The following is the full announcement:

NBC brightens February sweeps with “comedy night done right,” fan-favorite dramas, high-stakes game shows — and a gallery of guest stars that include Oscar nominee Forest Whitaker, Isabella Rossellini, George Takei, Paul Reubens, Kim Delaney, Mary Stuart Masterson, D.L. Hughley, Magic Johnson, Ron Silver, Beau Bridges, Natalie Cole, Sandra Bernhard, Eric Roberts, Mary Stuart Masterson, Kim Delaney, Stacy Keach, Michael Nouri, Oscar-winning hip-hop group Three 6 Mafia, Los Lonely Boys, Elizabeth Banks, Christopher Eccleston, Jessalyn Gilsig, wrestling champion Goldberg, Kali Rocha, Rita Moreno, Tom Arnold, Cary Elwes, Donna Murphy, Sticky Fingaz, Michael Weston, Xander Berkeley, Tony Goldwyn, and sports stars Scottie Pippen, Dick Butkus and Jason Giambi.

In addition, NBC salutes Valentine’s Day with a Thursday night of Cupid-worthy comedies on February 8 as well as Valentine-themed episodes of “Las Vegas” on February 9 and “Medium” on February 14.

MY NAME IS EARL (8-8:30 p.m.)
“Foreign Exchange Student”

THE LANGUAGE OF LOVE – As a young kid, Earl (Jason Lee) tortured Pierre, a French foreign-exchange student (guest star Ernie Grunwald), and scared him back to France. In order to scratch # 44 off his list, Earl decides to fly Pierre back to America and show him all the great things the country has to offer. Meanwhile, things heat up between Randy (Ethan Suplee) and Catalina (Nadine Velazquez) and their marriage is redefined — but not in the way anyone would have ever guessed. Everyone learns more about the power of love and the mysterious ways in which it works. Jaime Pressly and Eddie Steeples also star.

THE OFFICE (8:30-9 p.m.)
“Ben Franklin”

A WEDDING SHOWER FOR PHYLLIS — Acting on bad advice from his friend Todd Packer (David Koechner), Michael (Golden Globe winner Steve Carell) brings two “adult” performers into the office — a stripper and Ben Franklin — in honor of Phyllis’s (Phyllis Smith) wedding shower. Meanwhile Karen (Rashida Jones) confronts Pam (Jenna Fischer) about her past with Jim (John Krasinski). Rainn Wilson, B.J. Novak, Melora Hardin, David Denman, Leslie David Baker, Brian Baumgartner, Kate Flannery, Paul Lieberstein, and Mindy Kaling also star.

“His Story IV”

THE STAFF OF SACRED HEART DIVIDES DOWN POLITICAL PARTY LINES – MICHAEL WESTON (‘THE LAST KISS’) GUEST-STARS — While the staff questions Dr. Kelso’s (Ken Jenkins) commitment to the hospital, viewers begin to see the world from his point of view. But when he befriends patient Private Brian Dancer (guest star Michael Weston), the war stories he brings back from Iraq remind Kelso what it means to be a good leader. Meanwhile, Dancer’s presence in the hospital causes a heated political debate amongst the staffers dividing them down party lines, but while everyone is fighting, the patient’s health is being neglected. Elsewhere, J.D. (Zach Braff) is in search of a new apartment and feels out of the loop when politics become the topic at Sacred Heart. Sarah Chalke, Donald Faison, Judy Reyes, John C. TRACY TEMPTS PETE WHILE LIZ GETS A GLIMPSE INTO JACK’S PAST; ISABELLA ROSSELLINI AND PAUL REUBENS GUEST-STAR — Liz (Tina Fey) wonders if she’s actually on a date with Jack (Alec Baldwin) as she accompanies him to a birthday celebration for a foreign prince (guest star Paul Reubens, “Pee-Wee’s Playhouse”). While at the ball, Liz sees a different side to Jack as he unexpectedly runs in to his ex-wife (guest star Isabella Rossellini, “Blue Velvet”). Back at 30 Rock, Tracy (Tracy Morgan) tempts Pete (Scott Adsit) with a booze-and-babe-filled party in the office, while Kenneth the Page (Jack McBrayer) tries to keep Pete on the straight and narrow. HEARTBREAK E.R; OSCAR NOMINEE FOREST WHITAKER GUEST-STARS — Gates (John Stamos) and Neela (Parminder Nagra) try to revive Meg (guest star Paula Malcomson) after they find her unconscious in her car. Sam (Linda Cardellini) suspects she may know who set fire to her home. Meanwhile, tensions mount as Ames (Oscar nominee and Golden Globe winner Forest Whitaker, “The Last King of Scotland,” guest-stars) gets more and more desperate to seek revenge against Dr. Kovac (Goran Visnjic). CONTESTANTS BATTLE WITS WITH AN ALL-KID MOB AND A MOB WITH ACTOR-COMEDIAN D.L. HUGHLEY — Popular comedian Bob Saget (“Full House,” “America’s Funniest Home Videos”) hosts the international hit game show where one contestant faces “the mob” of 100 others in an attempt to win up to $1 million in a tense battle of brains and guts. In tonight’s episode, Mitch Mishke of Telluride, Colorado will play for a top prize of $1 million by trying to out-smart the mob, which is comprised of kids — joining kid mogul Jason O’Neill of Pencil Bugs and kid “Jeopardy!” champion Madeleine Suchard are fellow kid geniuses, science fair winners, and spelling bee champions. Actor-comedian D.L. Hughley (NBC’s “Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip”) joins the mob for Wendy Powell of Las Vegas, Nevada’s game. Viewers at home can also watch and play “You vs 100” for a chance to win $10,000.

“The Chicken Is Making My Back Hurt”

NO GOOD DEED GOES UNANSWERED — Certain circumstances have left Ed (James Caan) obligated to take anger-management classes, which force him to seek inner peace since one little blow up can put the Montecito’s gaming license at risk. Mike (James Lesure) hopes to secure the purchase of a condo but unfortunately Mike is unable to cash into the good fortune. Meanwhile, Sam (Vanessa Marcil) hosts a basketball player and becomes disturbed when he takes interest in Mary (Nikki Cox). After inadvertently offending various people, Delinda (Molly Sims) tries to prove what a good person she is by cooking dinner for the homeless — but ends up making the situation worse. Josh Duhamel also stars.

LAW & ORDER (10-11 p.m.)
“Talking Points”

STUDENT SHOT DURING ASSEMBLY FOR RIGHT-WING POLITICAL SPEAKER; RON SILVER GUEST-STARS — Judith Barlow (guest star Charlotte Ross, “NYPD Blue”), a controversial speaker participates in a question-and-answer at Gramercy College when the stage is mobbed, a gun is fired and one student is found dead. Detective Ed Green (Jesse L. Martin) and Nina Cassady (Milena Govich) question the victims friend Malcolm Yates (guest star Louis Cancelmi), an older PhD student who creates human embryos to harvest stem cells. It is discovered that Yates has Parkinson’s disease and finds Barlow’s tactics as a direct threat to his job and life. But Yates, aided by his attorney, Bernie Adler (guest star Ron Silver, “The West Wing”), is not afraid to play up his illness to get sympathy from the jury. S. Epatha Merkerson, Sam Waterston and Fred Dalton Thompson also star.

HIGH PROFILE FEMALE POLITICIAN SIDELINED BY PHILANDERING HUSBAND ACCUSED OF MURDER; DONNA MURPHY AND XANDER BERKELEY GUEST-STAR — When respected Judge Thomas Layton is killed during a re-creation of the classic Alexander Hamilton/Aaron Burr duel, Detectives Goren (Vincent D’Onofrio) and Eames (Kathryn Erbe) question his dueling partner, George Pagonis (guest star Xander Berkeley, “24”) — who happens to be married to Maureen Pagonis (guest star Donna Murphy, “World Trade Center”), a prominent political candidate and possible first female Mayor of New York. “Loophole”

BENSON TACKLES A CORPORATE CONSPIRACY TO SAVE A CHILD; FORMER WRESTLER GOLDBERG GUEST-STARS — When a photograph in an anonymous envelope leads Detectives Fin (Ice-T) and Munch (Richard Belzer) to the apartment building that houses a crime scene, the investigation reveals the building supervisor has spent a lot of time with the boy in the picture, and he falls under suspicion. The case takes a physical toll on Detective Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay), the victim (guest star Marquis Rodriguez) and the boy’s mother (guest star Karen Olivio) when they all appear to have similar medical issues. Their symptoms all appear to point to the same origin which unearth a corporate conspiracy and cover-up. Former wrestling champion Bill Goldberg guest-stars as Cupid, a roughneck who tears the SVU headquarters apart. Chris Meloni, Dann Florek, Diane Neal, B.D. Wong, and Tamara Tunie also star.

WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 7

FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS (8-9 p.m.)
“Blinders”

THE RACE CARD – After their first thrilling victory in the playoffs, the Panthers feel invincible — until Mac (Blue Deckert) makes racial statements that test the team’s bond. Tim (Taylor Kitsch) and Billy (Derek Phillips) adjust to having their father back in their lives while Tami (Connie Britton) worries about Julie’s (Aimee Teegarden) new friendship with Tyra (Adrianne Palicki). The game everyone is preparing for this time doesn’t include the Dillon Panthers as the girls take the reins in a game of “powder puff” football. “Blow”

A BUNDLE OF ‘JOY’ ALSO BRINGS SURPRISE FOR ONE OF THE CHARACTERS — In preparation for the trial, Joy (Jaime Pressly) learns that she has a half-sister whom she could possibly use to invoke sympathy from the jury — but her half-sister turns out to be her lifelong mortal enemy, Liberty Washington (guest star Tamala Jones). Coincidentally, Liberty is also #101 on Earl’s (Jason Lee) list — “stole a girl’s identity.” As Earl tries to right his wrong and Joy deals with the shock of having a new half sister, Liberty works to get herself into a wrestling league. The two women deal with their differences by wrestling them out of each other. This new episode also presents a major surprise for one of the characters. Ethan Suplee, Nadine Velazquez, and Eddie Steeples also star.

Meanwhile, Dr. Cox (John C. McGinley) and Jordan (Christa Miller) face some concern when her ultrasound reveals that their unborn child will need to have surgery.

VALENTINE’S DAY GOES AWRY FOR ‘TGS’ CAST; ISABELLA ROSSELLINI GUEST-STARS — After the entire cast binges on some questionable seafood at the craft services table, they hunker down to pull an all-nighter — on Valentine’s Day — and cobble together a new show. While Pete (Scott Adsit) completely forgets the holiday, romance may be blooming between Kenneth the Page (Jack McBrayer) and Cerie (Katrina Bowden), who is squabbling with her Greek fianc. Liz (Tina Fey) wonders if her ex-boyfriend Dennis (guest star Dean Winters) may be back in her life after she receives flowers from a secret admirer. Jack (Alec Baldwin), fresh from the finalization of his divorce from Bianca (guest star Isabella Rossellini, “Blue Velvet”), wants to celebrate his new bachelorhood with Tracy (Tracy Morgan), who for once wants a night alone with his wife. Pratt (Mekhi Phifer) finds himself in hot water as he gets questioned about the death of a patient. Meanwhile, Neela (Parminder Nagra) is thrilled when Dr. Dubenko (Leland Orser) allows her to scrub in on a kidney donor surgery. LAST MAN STANDING WINS $250,000 — Popular comedian Bob Saget (“Full House,” “America’s Funniest Home Videos”) hosts the international hit game show where one contestant faces “the mob” of 100 others in an attempt to win up to $1 million in a tense battle of brains and guts. Tonight, in a very special episode, it’s “last man standing” as the 100 mob members square off against each other for a grand prize of $250,000. This time, the “one” will be selected from the mob and the game will continue until there is only one mob member left standing. In this battle of intellect and guts, there are no helps, no chance to take the money and run, and no choice but to keep going until someone walks away with a quarter of a million dollars. Members of the mob include game show heavyweights from “Jeopardy!” — Ken Jennings and five-time champion Brad Rutter, and from “Who Wants to Be A Millionaire” – – Nancy Christy and Kevin Olmstead. They are joined by poker great Annie Duke, Ivy League graduates, rocket scientists, trivia bowl champions, a drag queen and a nun. TAKING MATTERS INTO THEIR OWN HANDS — LOUIS LOMBARDI (’24’) GUEST-STARS — The Montecito prepares for the exhibit of a world-famous mummy, only to have it stolen before it gets to the hotel. When the authorities cannot deal with the crisis because of special circumstances, Ed (James Cann), Danny (Josh Duhamel), Mike (James Lesure), and Delinda (Molly Sims) are forced to handle the matter on their own. With all the craziness, the team does not have time to deal with a guest that is suspected of stealing various hotel items, so Mary (Nikki Cox) takes this special case on herself. Meanwhile, Harris Lipsky (guest star Louis Lombardi, “24”) offers Sam (Vanessa Marcil) an indecent proposal.

LAW & ORDER (10-11 p.m.)
“Church”

ACTOR KILLED AFTER THREATENING TO OUT POPULAR REVEREND — After a gay actor is found shot to death, Detectives Ed Green (Jesse L. Martin) and Nina Cassady (Milena Govich) arrive at the scene and discover an e-mail that was sent to a well-known pastor. In the e-mail, the actor admonishes him for speaking out against gays. Asst. D.A. Jack McCoy (Sam Waterston) discovers a note left behind that he suspects may be a cover for the real murderer. S. Epatha Merkerson, Fred Dalton Thompson and Alana De La Garza also star.

GREASE: YOU’RE THE ONE THAT I WANT (7-9 p.m.)

ELIMINATIONS BEGIN — In the second two-hour live episode, the top 12 contestants become 10 as one Danny and one Sandy are eliminated at the beginning of the episode based on America’s votes. The top-10 contestants will perform live singing and dancing routines in front of the judges, who will give them feedback before America votes to determine who will move on to the next live performance episode. Two-time Tony Award-winner Kathleen Marshall (“The Pajama Game”), Jim Jacobs, the co-creator of “Grease” and renowned theatre producer David Ian serve as judges. Billy Bush (“Access Hollywood”) hosts the series and Denise Van Outen (Broadway’s “Chicago”) co-hosts.

SOMETIMES LOVE MAKES PEOPLE DO THE CRAZIEST THINGS; JOSH DUHAMEL AND MOLLY SIMS OF ‘LAS VEGAS’ GUEST-STAR-When a Las Vegas prize fighter is found dead after winning a match, Danny (Josh Duhamel of NBC’s “Las Vegas”) and Delinda (Molly Sims of NBC’s “Las Vegas”) decide to stay in Boston to help Jordan (Jill Hennessy) and Woody (Jerry O’Connell) investigate his murder. Meanwhile, Bug (Ravi Kapoor) investigates the death of a young woman whose body was found in the river and had been there since the 1980s. After a month away, Lily (Kathryn Hahn) returns to the morgue. Miguel Ferrer and Steve Valentine also star.

DETECTIVE BENSON GETS IN OVER HER HEAD; MARY STUART MASTERSON AND KIM DELANEY GUEST-STAR — When Detective Benson (Mariska Hargitay) investigates a rape case outside her jurisdiction, she finds herself being questioned by local Police Captain Julia Millfield (guest star Kim Delaney, “NYPD Blue”) and although she gets some answers, some are difficult to accept. Benson also needs to discuss with police psychologist Dr. Rebecca Hendrix (guest star Mary Stuart Masterson, “Benny & Joon”) about some of her actions that have led to tensions with Detective Stabler (Chris Meloni) and major distractions that have marred the rape case.
