Comedy Central Sets The Minority Report to Replace The Colbert Report

Following last month’s announcement that “The Colbert Report” host Stephen Colbert will be departing Comedy Central to replace David Letterman as host of CBS’ “The Late Show,” Comedy Central has revealed details about the new show that will take on the post-“The Daily Show with John Stewart” timeslot. Airing weeknights at 11:30pm ET/PT will be “The Minority Report,” hosted by “Daily Show” “Senior Black Correspondent” Larry Wilmore!

“The Minority Report,” created by Stewart and executive produced by both Stewart and Wilmore, will begin airing in January 2015 with “The Colbert Report” slated to come to an end this December.

The creator of series like “The Bernie Mac Show” and “The PJs,” Willmore launched his career as a writer on “In Living Color.” He’s also recently appeared on the big screen in films like Amy Heckerling’s Vamps and Jay Roach’s Dinner with Schmucks.
