Recently revealed to bear the subtitle “Coven,” the third season of FX’s “America Horror Story” has today announced, via co-creator Ryan Murphy’s Twitter feed, that Oscar-nominated actress Gabourey Sidibe will be joining the cast.
Plot specifics for the new episodes are still a mystery, but stars Frances Conroy, Taissa Farmiga, Jessica Lange, Lily Rabe, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters and Lily Rabe are set to return with Kathy Bates also joining the cast as a “rival” to Lange’s character.
Sidibe, best known for her performance in Precious, has since appeared in films like Tower Heist and Seven Psychopaths as well as a regular on the television series “The Big C.”
