Int’l Trailer Offers First Look at J.T. Petty’s Hellbenders, Oh, and a…

An international trailer for Hellbenders has surfaced in a distant corner of YouTube, languishing for a little over a week now until it was discovered recently.  Lionsgate picked up the J.T. Petty-directed film which is waiting for a release date.  Hope we hear something about its release soon, ’cause this looks like a trip.

Clancy Brown toplines the cast which also includes Dan Fogler, Andrew Royo and Clifton Collins Jr.  Four new pics from the flick floated our way and you’ll find them after the jump.  The horror-comedy follows the Order of Hellbound Saints (Brooklyn Parish), a highly secretive and profoundly blasphemous men of God, as they battle demonic forces too terrible to be cast out by traditional Vatican-approved methods.  Thanks to B-D for catching it.

Lionsgate Takes J.T. Petty’s Hellbenders, New Poster Revealed

J.T. Petty’s latest film, Hellbenders has been picked up by Lionsgate for release, says Variety.  Petty previously helmed Mimic: Sentinel, S&Man and The Burrowers.  

Clancy Brown toplines the cast which also includes Dan Fogler, Andrew Royo and Clifton Collins Jr.  Four new pics from the flick floated our way and you’ll find them after the jump.

The horror-comedy follows the Order of Hellbound Saints (Brooklyn Parish), a highly secretive and profoundly blasphemous men of God, as they battle demonic forces too terrible to be cast out by traditional Vatican-approved methods.

Rob Zombie’s Lords of Salem, The Bay to Premiere at TIFF’s Midnight…

News fresh from the Twitter-sphere.  As you know, the Toronto International Film Festival is quickly approaching and we’ve been eagerly anticipating the Midnight Madness line-up, which never disappoints.  

This morning, the official Twitter account for Midnight Madness unveiled the titles participating in the program this year and, man oh man, it’s a doozy.

It appears Dredd 3D is making the festival rounds before it opens September 21st.  Not only is the film playing to Fantastic Fest audiences in September, but it’s now a Midnight Madness selection as well.

Confirming what we’ve been telling you for the last month, Rob Zombie’s The Lords of Salem will make its premiere.  So will Hellbenders 3D, the latest film from The Burrowers’ JT Petty which stars Clancy Brown.
