The Iam8bit Gallery (2147 W Sunset Blvd.) in Los Angeles is holding its gallery opening this Thursday, November 13th that’s taking a unique approach. Artists have come together for “Sequels” – a collection of poster art for film sequels “that were never made.” Each piece is entirely from the artist’s perspective and they range from The Rocketeer 2 to Blade Runner 2 to Hellboy 3. On the horror/cult side of things, here’s a tease of the gallery with a poster for Videodrome 2 and Hobo With a Shotgun 2.
After making The Brood and Scanners iTunes exclusives, Criterion is finally bringing the latter David Cronenberg film to DVD and Blu-ray on July 15th. That’s the official cover art you see here.
The 1981 film will be packaged two ways: DVD and Dual-Format Blu-ray/DVD.

?Well, this isn’t what we expected, but since it’s a title we’ve been covering for a bit, we’ll throw this trailer for David Cronenberg’s Maps to the Stars you’re way and see if it warrants further coverage on Shock. This definitely screams more “drama” than anything. Julianne Moore, Mia Wasikowska, Sarah Gadon, John Cusack and Robert Pattinson star.
The synopsis… The Weiss family is the archetypical Hollywood dynasty: father Sanford is an analyst and coach, who has made a fortune with his self-help manuals; mother Christina mostly looks after the career of their son Benjie, 13, a child star.
