‘Spring Breakers’ Red Band Trailer, Featurette, Poster and Soundtrack Listing

The Spring Breakers marketing has been relentless with several trailers, multiple posters and more. So, I’ve held off and today have a batch update for you that includes a new red band trailer, a new making-of featurette (which itself promises to be #1 of what will likely be several more), a new poster and the official soundtrack listing courtesy of Vibe.

Skrillex and Cliff Martinez (scored Drive and Contagion) are the soundtrack’s main staple and you’ll notice the song “Hangin’ With Da Dopeboys” featuring rapper Dangeruss and the film’s co-star James Franco. Franco wrote about his time with Danger for MTV, how he modeled his character (Alien) after the rapper and recently wrote about his time with Danger and how it ended with Franco filming a video with Danger, which you can watch to the right.

[Director Harmony Korine] and Dangeruss agreed that my character could sing one of Danger’s songs in the film, “Dope Boyz.” Dangeruss wrote out the lyrics for me and then performed it so I could see how he carried himself onstage. I was a little confused by one of the lyrics: “junkies at my door, they know the secret knock, it goes one time for the reefer, two times for the rock,” because it didn’t seem like any junkies would come to the door of that nice apartment. But as I got to know Dangeruss, I realized there were two spheres in his life, and the other one away from the one I was seeing was much darker.

Here’s that track-listing, and you can [amazon asin=”B00B1E6E54″ text=”preorder the soundtrack at Amazon now”].

Next we have the red band trailer and new featurette, watch and enjoy. Spring Breakers hits theaters on March 15 and you can read my review from last year’s Toronto Film Festival right here.

Spring Breakers stars Rachel Korine, Selena Gomez, Ashley Benson, James Franco and Vanessa Hudgens and tells the story of four sexy college girls as they plan to fund their spring break getaway by burglarizing a fast food shack. But that’s only the beginning… At a motel room rager, fun reaches its legal limit and the girls are arrested and taken to jail. Hungover and clad only in bikinis, the girls appear before a judge but are bailed out unexpectedly by Alien (James Franco), an infamous local thug who takes them under his wing and leads them on the wildest Spring Break trip in history. Rough on the outside but with a soft spot inside, Alien wins over the hearts of the young Spring Breakers, and leads them on a Spring Break they never could have imagined.
