Just the final image alone bearing the title treatment and featuring Terry Crews, Randy Couture, Jet Li, Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham and Dolph Lundgren is enough to sell me on the Stallone written and directed actioner The Expendables, which hits theaters on August 20, 2010 and today we get a peek at a promotional trailer for the film that has just hit the Internet.
The film centers on a group of mercenaries sent to infiltrate a South American country and overthrow its ruthless dictator to liberate the population. Their team is “expendable,” hired to do jobs that no one else can or will. Filming is expected to begin in February in Costa Rica and Louisiana.
The film also stars the likes of Mickey Rourke, Eric Roberts, Danny Trejo, Charisma Carpenter, ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin, and David Zayas and is rumored to include an Arnold Schwarzenegger cameo. You can check out the promo directly below and browse our gallery of 14 images right here.
