“Fringe” star Joshua Jackson is in talks to join Bruce Willis and Rebecca Hall in the Stephen Frears-directed Lay the Favorite, reports Variety.
The script, written by D.V. DeVincentis, is based on the life of Beth Raymer, “a professional gambler who started off as a cocktail waitress in Las Vegas but soon rose to become one of the world’s best gamblers. After falling in love, Raymer soon begins to re-evaluate her life and the profession she has chosen.”
Randall Emmett will produce through his Emmett/Furla Films along with Anthony Bregman, DeVincentis and Paul Trijbits. Peter Gethers will executive produce.
