Gleeson, Shepard, Patrick and Cunningham Enter Safe House


Brendon Gleeson, Sam Shepard, Robert Patrick and Liam Cunningham are joining Ryan Reynolds and Denzel Washington in the Daniel Espinosa-directed Safe House, a Universal Pictures thriller written by David Guggenheim.

The film, scheduled for a release on February 10, 2012, centers on a young house sitter of a CIA-run safe house who must help a criminal, who’s being hidden there, avoid being killed as they flee to another secure facility when the first house is destroyed by villains who want the witness dead.

Scott Stuber is producing through his Universal-based Stuber Pictures. Trevor Macy executive produces through his Intrepid Pictures.

Universal’s Senior Executive Vice President of Production, Peter Cramer and Creative Executive, Sara Scott are overseeing the project for the studio.
