After confirming that he will be reteaming with director David O. Russell for the video game adaptation Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, Wahlberg told MTV that he is eyeing Broken City as well.
“There’s this other thing, ‘Broken City,’ that I want to do… at the end of next year with Allen Hughes directing,” Wahlberg said, “[It’s] on the Black List. It’s one of the best unproduced screenplays…”
The film, written by Brian Tucker, centers on a cop-turned-P.I. who finds himself thrust into the seedy backroom politics of a corrupt mayoral election.
