Ericson Core (Invincible) will direct Dance the Green, an indie drama that tells the story of golf legend Moe Norman, says Variety. Barry Morrow (Rain Man) wrote the script.
Shy by nature, Norman restricted his play to Canada, where he amassed 55 tour victories and was twice Canada PGA champ. He was named to the Canadian Golf Hall of Fame.
The trade says Morrow wrote the script in 1999 and spent time with the eccentric golfer before Norman’s death in 2004.
The film is casting with the intent of shooting by next spring.
