Production Weekly says that Maggie Gyllenhaal (The Dark Knight) will star opposite Emma Thompson in the Nanny McPhee sequel, titled Nanny McPhee and the Big Bang.
“Big Bang” is set one hundred years after the first film. The magical nanny deals with city children and country children who are evacuees during World War II. It’s about the war and the war between these two sets of extremely different children.
The film starts shooting next month at Shepperton Studios.
