I am sure this doesn’t come as any major surprise for the majority of you. However, as with Alien and Aliens, I feel I am in the minority again. I think Godfather II is superior to its predecessor and I absolutely cannot wait to get my hands on the September 23 release of the Blu-ray edition, if for no other reason than the fact that the complete film will be on one disc! The story of young Vito and the continuing saga of an aging Michael is so compelling and so beautifully told in its aggression and in its subtleties, Godfather II will be one of my favorite films for all of my life.
A few films just missed making the list including X2: X-Men United, Star Trek IV: Voyage Home, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Rocky IV, Kill Bill: Volume Two, Infernal Affairs 2, Spider-Man 2 (even though I am not a fan) and Terminator 2: Judgment Day.
