Julia Roberts is adding yet another film to her non-retired slate as she has signed on to produce and possibly star in Happiness Sold Separately with Fox Searchlight in early negotiations to distribute.
The love story is based on the novel by Lolly Winston and is centered on a woman who withdraws from her husband into a world of heartbreak and anger after she discovers that he had an affair with his nutritionist at the gym. It tells the story of when people meet the wrong person at the wrong time and have to make it right.
Scott Coffey is aboard to pen the screenplay.
Julia’s voice will be heard this weekend as Charlotte in Paramount’s Charlotte’s Web and she will then be seen next year in Charlie Wilson’s War opposite Tom Hanks, Phillip Seymour Hoffman and Amy Adams. I also wouldn’t be surprised if she had a nice little came in next year’s Ocean’s Thirteen.
