Divorce Happening at Miramax

Miramax is developing “Daily Show” head writer Ben Karlin and Stu Zicherman’s satirical comedy A.C.O.D. (Adult Children of Divorce), the story of a grown man still caught in the crossfire of his parents’ 15-year-old divorce.

The Hollywood Reporter says that Zicherman, co-writer/creator of ABC’s “Six Degrees,” is slated to direct the film and produce it with Karlin and Bobby Cohen (Revolutionary Road).

“We’re very glad to get the validation from Miramax, especially since we’ve been working on the script longer than any of our parents were married,” Karlin and Zicherman said.

In the tentatively titled A.C.O.D., the lead character discovers he was unknowingly part of a study on divorced children. He’s enlisted in a follow-up years later that wreaks new havoc on his family.
