Alcon Entertainment has acquired Substitution, a spec script written by Ian Shorr, reports Variety. Alcon will develop the project, which will be distributed by Warner Bros.
The script focuses on an emotional high school senior who becomes embroiled in a murder plot that is being masterminded by his substitute teacher.
Alcon partners Andrew Kosove and Broderick Johnson will produce with Charlie Company’s Steve Crystal, who hatched the story with Shorr.
