Regency has picked up Down River, an adventure thriller pitch from Sheldon Turner, says The Hollywood Reporter. Jennifer Klein is producing through her Apartment 3B Productions.
The story revolves around four twentysomething masters of the corporate world who decide to go on an actual adventure trip to the Amazon rather than on a high-class trip where you pretend to rough it. Things go awry when their tour guide is killed and the men have to face not only dangerous wildlife and tribesmen but also one another.
Turner (The Amityville Horror) also wrote the “X-Men” spin-off Magneto for Fox. He and Klein have Orbit set up at Fox 2000, with Tom Bezucha attached to direct, and Two Minutes to Midnight at Fox.
