Disney/Pixar’s Ratatouille opened at No. 1 on the national DVD sales chart during the week ending November 11, while the Adam Sandler comedy I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry was the top rental choice.
Ratatouille easily led the Nielsen VideoScan First Alert sales chart, followed by “Chuck & Larry” and the previous week’s top seller, Spider-Man 3. Deck the Halls debuted at No. 5.
“Chuck & Larry” generated estimated rental earnings of $9.3 million to lead Home Media Magazine’s video rental chart. Spider-Man 3 followed with $8 million. Ratatouille debuted at No. 3 with $7.6 million. Deck the Halls was No. 4 with $6.2 million.
Transformers remained at the top of the HD DVD sales chart, while Ratatouille was at No. 1 on the Blu-ray Disc chart. Both titles are only available in their respective formats.
