Universal Calls Upon Jeff the Immortal

Universal has bought Jeff the Immortal, a supernatural comedy written by Chris Bishop being produced by Marc Platt Productions.

“It’s about a slacker who discovers he has supernatural powers but uses these new-found powers for selfish reasons,” Bishop told Variety.

He said he got the idea after watching Highlander — the 1986 film starring Christopher Lambert and Sean Connery — and wondering what he and his buddies would do if they got such powers.

Platt is producing and Adam Goldberg is executive producing.
