Bloody-Disgusting spoke to producer Roy Lee, who said a third “Ring” movie is still possible:
As of right now the plan is to hold the film for a few years and go into the franchise “with a new fresh story,” Lee tells Bloody-Disgusting. So the good news is that one day we might see the return of Samara! The original plan was to tell the origins of Samara in a similar fashion to the Japanese film “Ring 0: Birthday.”
Naomi Watts and David Dorfman starred in the first two films as Rachel and Aidan Keller.
