Craig Brewer is set to write and direct Paramount Pictures’ upcoming The Gangster Princess of Beverly Hills, Deadline reports. The film is based on a 2012 Rolling Stone article by Sabrina Rubin Erdely that you can read in its entirety by clicking here.
The film follows the true story of Lisette Lee, a drug mule who faked her way into Hollywood fame and fortune by pretending to be an actress, model and heiress.
Brewer, whose previous directing projects include Hustle & Flow, Black Snake Moan and Footloose, is also writing Warner Bros.’ upcoming Tarzan with David yates attached to helm.
Erwin Stoff is attached to produce The Gangster Princess of Beverly Hills.
