Millennium Entertainment has provided ComingSoon.net with a clip from Elsa & Fred, the English-Language adaptation of the original which played in Latin American theaters for a year and spawned a successful stage play.
Directed by Michael Redford, the comedy stars Shirley MacLaine, Christopher Plummer, Marcia Gay Harden, Wendell Pierce, Jared Gilman, Chris Noth and Scott Bakula.
The film finds Elsa (MacLaine), a gregarious retiree who’s as lively as the New Orleans streets outside her apartment. When straight-laced widower Fred (Plummer) moves into her apartment building, the two fight and flirt like old lovers. Fred just wants to be left alone, but she won’t hear of it!
