Ghostbusters Photo: The Particulars of a Proton Pack

Production on Ghostbusters is currently underway up in Boston, and while we’ve yet to see the ensemble (Leslie Jones, Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon and Kristen Wiig) in their gear, director Paul Feig is continuously sharing new looks at the uniforms and gadgetry. In a companion to last week’s proton pack portrait, Feig has shared an annotated version outlining its functions, as well as bits of production art on the machine. 

This is a rough, lived in piece of work with a ton of arrows that (even in movieland) I won’t pretend to understand. In other Ghostbusters news, The Wrap brings word that Andy Garcia, Michael K. Williams (The Wire), Veep‘s great Matt Walsh have joined the film. Also on board—NYC residents should be stoked—is New York 1’s Pat Kiernan. The actors join the core four Ghostbusters, as well as Chris Hemsworth and SNL’s Cecily Strong. Garcia will play the Mayor of NYC.
